Owned by Rottweiler Breeder Calabresi Kennels of Italy, Santo is an excellent example of the high quality Rottweiler breeding taking place in Italy. Where do you start with Santo...because this Rottweiler is a pedigree bonanza of not only bloodlines but incredible type displaying those lines. You have three of the most dominating and type changing lines in one Rottweiler and it worked; Mambo vd Crossener Ranch, Balou v Silberblick and Akino vd Lauterbrucke. There are other Rottweilers that have this combo but fail to bring it to this level plus if you look at the Rottweilers in the pedigree, they fail to compare in quality and type. Add into this that he is the son of the great Brando Buoso da Dovara, this male rises to the top in the gene pool.

Sal Piccoli of dei Calabresi/Italy has an eye for great Rottweilers and has collected some of the very best in the world and has slowly developed what I consider to be a very powerful, genetically rich kennel and program. Santo definitely is one of my very favorite Rottweilers of modern time and WCR will be looking very hard towards Santo dei Calabresi.

A true testamant is siblings, and that is a major consideration for us on Rottweiler stud dog selection. Santo's sister Sila dei Calabresi is highly impressive with that same powerful t ype and head piece...testament to the litter and gene pool quality.
